Constantine II Small Bronze - 2 Soldiers, 2 Standards Reverse
GLORIA EXERCITVS Type
It would have been nice if enough of the mintmark had remained to attribute this coin to a particular mint city and officina. The two standards are spaced closely together and appear to be joined. This makes a fascinating reverse variant for study. The author's imagination wants to see the faint remains of the latters PARL in the exergue of this little piece but there is clearly not enough remaining evidence to make this attribution.
