This is a beautiful example of a GLORIA EXERCITVS AE 4 type of Constantine II produced by the Antioch Mint. The coin itself is uncirculated or close to it. The dies used to strike the coin were quite worn, however, causing some areas that appear softly struck. The emperor's hairlines and the leaves in his laurel crown are all visible and in many areas are sharp. Most noticeably, the studs or rivets on the emperor's cuirass (armored breastplate) are sharp. The coin is catalogued as a Sear s3951 and an LRBC 1357.
