Rudy Schroeter

Rudy is the proprietor of Treasure Island, a stamp and coin shop located at 3703 El Camino Real in the city of Palo Alto, California. His main business is selling stamps and liquidating stamp collections but he does a lively business in ancient coins. He is extremely knowledgeable concerning issues of the Greek city - states and is well versed in Roman history as well as numismatics. The author has never brought up a name from history about which Rudy didn't have an interesting store of facts.

It is always nice to visit Rudy's shop in the afternoon. He keeps his radio tuned to the one remaining classical music station in the Bay Area, as he also has an interest in the theatre and performs in many productions of plays and operas put on by his church. His son Will is usually there after school on weekdays and is becoming just as much a scholar as his dad. Will has an interesting stamp collection on which he likes to work, while Rudy fully enjoys the ancient coins, though most of his business is stamps. The address of Rudy's store is:
