Small Bronze AE 4, VRBS ROMA Obverse - 2 Soldiers, 1 Standard Reverse

GLORIA EXERCITVS Type
This AE 4 was struck at the Constantinopolis mint. The officina letter in the mintmark appears to be a Zeta, which would make the catalog number 1028 in LRBC. In fact, the author had guessed that the last letter was an Alpha. It was only when he consulted this excellent reference that he found out that the VRBS ROMA 2 Soldiers, 1 Standard type from this mint were struck only by the Epsilon and a Zeta officinae that he realized that the little smudge was, in fact a Zeta instead of an Alpha.
